The Iowa REALTORS® Scholarship Foundation fosters the spirit of a REALTOR® in our communities by providing financial support
to graduating seniors seeking higher education opportunities.

REALTORS® embody character, service and influence in our communities.

The Iowa REALTORS® Scholarship Foundation seeks to instill these qualities in younger generations. Through scholarships, Iowa REALTORS® Foundation recognizes the character, service and community participation of graduating seniors. 

The Iowa REALTORS® Scholarship Foundation focuses on honoring and recognizing the values of integrity, honesty, commitment, community service and other well rounded character traits that encompass the Iowa REALTORS® Values and spirit.

In 2026, the Scholarship Foundation will provide up to 10 scholarships of $2,500 to deserving Iowa high school graduating seniors looking to seek higher education through college or vocational/trade school. 

Donors are the heartbeat of the Iowa REALTORS® Scholarship Foundation. Their generosity directly supports graduating high school seniors by helping them take the next step in their educational journey. Each contribution eases financial barriers, opens doors to opportunity, and invests in students who will become the future leaders of Iowa’s communities.

The Iowa REALTORs® Scholarship Foundation, which is incorporated under Iowa law as a 501(c)3 tax exempt charity, provides an excellent way for REALTORS® and friends of the real estate industry to help students as they plan for their future. Honor a living person, commemorate a special event, or memorialize a deceased person,  especially those who were strong supporters of REALTOR® ideals.

Instead of contributing your trust account interest to the state's general fund, we provide a way for your to divert this interest to the REALTOR® Foundation, where it can be put back into real estate programs to help Iowans achieve the goal of homeownership.

To Deposit in to the "REALTOR® Foundation of Iowa" account, please contact us for the account information.

The REALTOR® Foundation of Iowa Tax ID number is 42-1323436. This information may be necessary for 1099 reporting when reporting the interest to the IRS.

Remember the purchase agreement or any other written contract between the seller and buyer needs to have language stating the interest on the transaction shall be forwarded to the REALTOR® Foundation of Iowa.

Note: new accounts do need the Iowa Real Estate Commission "Consent to Examine" form filled out. The form may be downloaded in Form Simplicity. The same rule of having the word "TRUST" in the new account still is applicable, and brokerages may close out the old accounts once the new one is up and running.

Choose a one-time contribution or a series of pledges given over several months or years. These items may be designated for a specific purpose through the Foundation.

Honor REALTOR® colleagues or family members who have passed away. Please consider the Foundation when making wills, bequests or assigning insurance.
